Directed by John Timewell, this was the Garden Players first production. Performed at Storrington gardens in 2009 and the Royal Crescent Lawn in 2010.
“I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Much Ado About Nothing. The performance was every bit as good as the performance of Romeo and Juliet I saw the previous week at Hall Barn, but I could hear the words much better and the whole performance was more fun, especially the comedy scenes in which Beatrice and Benedict were eavesdropping. I thought these were most imaginatively directed. Congratulations on such a successful production!”
“I would like to congratulate you on a splendid performance of Much Ado about Nothing on Thursday. The acting and production were both of very high standard. The setting in your garden was delightful.”
“It was very enjoyable and the quality of production and acting were very good. Setting it in a garden was also an inspirational idea because it created an intimacy that you rarely get in a theatre and never get outdoors. Simply brilliant and hats off to you for a great performance!”
