The Merry Wives of Windsor 2021

Our 2021 production will be one of Shakespeare’s finest comedies, the wonderful The Merry Wives of Windsor to be directed by John Timewell. The play will be staged from the 15th to the 19th of June 2021. Our venue is, as always, the superb Stubbings House lawns in Maidenhead, SL6 6QL.

Sir John Falstaff, staying in Windsor and down on his luck, decides to restore his fortunes by seducing the wives of two wealthy citizens. Meanwhile three suitors ( Slender, Doctor Caius and Fenton ), are all vying to win the lovely Mistress Anne Page’s hand in marriage.

Rehearsals commence from Thursday 18th of March. Ticket information and booking will be announced in due course.

Please note: All our plans are dependent on a return or at least a partial return to normality as far as COVID 19 is concerned and we will, of course, be undertaking a full risk assessment before commencing rehearsals.
