The Garden Players in Lockdown

Dear Friends,

The Garden Players Shakespeare Company have, sadly, along with many other groups, had to call off our production this summer.

Some time ago, William Branston had the idea of compiling a video about The Garden Players and we have been working on it over the past few weeks.

The video gives information about The Garden Players and our objectives.

It gives us an opportunity to remember James Couper-Johnston and Eddie Weeks.

It is also about Child Bereavement UK and may help to raise some funds for an important charity with whom we have collaborated on all our productions.

We have included some brief extracts from Shakespeare and we are only sorry that, for practical purposes, we have not been able to showcase the considerable talents of all our members.

I hope you enjoy the video and please feel free to share it with your family, friends, colleagues and all our supporters. It is now on our website, Stubbings’s website, YouTube and our Facebook pages.

You can watch the video below. To donate £5 to Child Bereavement UK please text PLAYERS to 70085. Texts cost your donation plus one standard rate message. Please note that this is different to the number in the video which was given to us in error by CBUK. Please accept our apologies for any confusion.

With very best wishes,

The Garden Players Shakespeare Company
